okies, got a good fly of it yesterday on the beach, my little bro took it out for 30mins in a squall...

from what i could see when i was flying it... it has no bar pressure.... i was freakin out cos i couldnt really feel what the kite was doin, this might have been due to the fact there was only 20 knots when i had it up though... however.... my bro had it out in around 25 knots and said the same thing, he had no pressure at all, even when floating down from jumps etc...

you can really see the tips flare, good for newbies learnign to trim the kite i spose...

Turns the exact same speed as my 2m trainer.... yeah i know its a 6m but hey... we got it to basically pivit around the centre of the kite when looping... there would of been like a 1m turning radius at max...

This thing is STABLE.... 3 of us flew it, me, josh and padi.... each of us fly's waroos, and it was more stable than 9, 12, and 14m waroo's.... was gooooooood :-) very handy for newbies...

ok, on the water... just to fill everyone in... my brother josh is 14, hes been kiting a year and has flown a hell of a lot of different kites.... id say hes an intermediate rider.. he was riding an 05 Liquid Force Element 128 at the time... he weighs 45kgs

He was impressed with most aspects of the kite.... he was a little underpowered sometimes but it was a gusty cross-offshore SW'er so meh.

He said the turning speed was insane, but once you parked it, it sat there and just tracked beautifully with very little input. It was very much like a C kite once powered, you know how you can let the bar go and it will very slowly fall to the water? he did that with the havoc, same speed as m80's etc... (we use a stopper ball so no depower thing)

Jumping and hangtime was psyco lol... on his first run he hit a little wave and sent it...we heard him squeal from the beach lol he hung there for ages then was too scared to do it again, and hes no stranger to big jumps...

Depower wise it was unique.... let the bar out and you have no power... but the thing still turns!!!!! i couldnt believe it when i was flying it, its a weird feeling but yeah. Its not the full speed turning of course, but you can still control it, i was very impressed with this as its my main dislike with all kites... It had more depower than a waroo, assault and crossbow (only bows ive flown) as well, (i was just putting it thru the window to try that, confirmed by josh on the water though...

ummmmmm i think thats it? desperate to try the 12 out (hint hint kurt)
but ill throw another post up if i get to fly it again....

the havoc bar will be quite different. It has a double cloop line
with an adjustable stopper as well as a new moulded qr on the cloop.

any of you guys got ur hands on the new assault?

any feedback on the havoc riding waves?
if it turns with heaps of depower like you say and also turns on a dime then i am guessing it is everything one would want.
especially if it has no pulleys on the bar and an adjustable stopper ball!!
