Well this is where the biggest challenge for the PLK design team I feel, in the larger sizes . First kite arrived today via express couriour ,rest here in a couple of days . Wind was pus 10-12 kts onshore surf .Figured i'd just have a fly and see what it was like .Straps at the shoulder tight and in the centre off 4 cmm from tight 9my fave v2 13 setting) Flew with and without tip bridle .In this wind and this size I am a fan of the bridle .Tips flare out less as is the case with my V 2 13 with loco span limiter . Cupla mates came down and we were going to have a shot at it on the water as it seemed pretty good .A guy on a north rebel 14 m turned up with a surfboard and grovelled around for a while and gave up and the wind died . kite seems to turn faster and have more solid power at the bottom end than the v 2 16 but we didn't have one to compare .kite looks and feels more rigid .I'm pretty sure they have found what we wanted and put it in .Don't expect a magic bullet .improvement is incremental but is adequate .i reckon this kite will be great in the waves ,One of the guys commented on the solid power .I reckon and they do too depower is similar to v2 .
