Ive had the 14 Waroo out now for 3 sessions. I agree with Kurt in the other posts that the 14 flies and reacts very similar to the 12, the 14 definately has more bottom end balls and handles well in the top end range. Only managed to to fly the 14 so far in maximum 24knots, but was still well in control and had stacks of depower left. I think the 14 will be my size selection for our average winds up here.

I weigh 100 + kilos, riding 130 ltd pro board.

For an average coastal wind range of 12-18knots:-
My suggestion (findings) would be if you are between 65 - 85kg go the 12.

85 - 110kg, go the 14mtr,

Thanks

Thx Joe. great report, as I was just considering this question myself. I have had a quick couple of goes on a Waroo 12 and just had a niggling feeling that it wasn't quite enough for our typical winds.

how do you find the jumping performance of these kites?

Jumping performance is nice. Because the 14 is still a real fast turning kite, it allows you to boost big, lofty jumps. Its weird cause when you are at the apex of your jump, and suppoosed to be comming down, you dont, u just hang there for another couple of seconds and drift down nicely. Gives stacks of time to pull off grabs, board offs, or to get over that monster sand bar.

Yep we are from the East. Where are you located in the West? Choice Kitesurfing are the dealers for Best in Wa and also Brownee will be able to help out as well. What are your average wind conditions and weight?
