My Comments:
Last night a few of us got to ride my new 13m ozone RX. I have had the 07, 08 now the 09. Build etc all as you would expect from Ozone 10 out of 10.
Kite performance:- ) First thing you notice is just how smooth the kite flys and feels, almost like it has shock absorbers. The bar pressure is more than previous models and while still being quite light you get excellent feedback on the kite location. The big surprise comes when you turn this kite. It turns really quick. More like the 08 11m. This thing loops like a much smaller kite. Rhys fitted 20m lines and took it for a spin and reckoned it turned like his 9m. He was pulling some real nice stuff and chucking high and low loops and the odd double loop. He was also the first to give it a wash but the relaunch was effortless. One of the local C kite fans took it for a spin, did a bit of unhooked stuff(got to remember not to grab the quick release when hooking back in though...hehe), he chucked a few loops almost landing a slim chance(worthy on a mention as he did land one a bit latter in the session) and came back in impressed by the turning speed also.
Turning speed should translate directly to boosting ....and it certainly does with this kite. Being able to turn the kite quicker improved the boost and again better feedback and quicker turning leads to smooth controled landings. I got a big improvement in hangtime also.
The power of the kite seems similar to the other years but i think i will be able to still enjoy this kite in 25 knots+. I will ride the 08 and 09 back to back before i comment any more on the power.
We all liked this kite very much, I didn't think that this kite was going to be better than the 08, anyone who has an 08 13m edge will know what i mean. Already , after only 1 session I can say this kite is a significant improvement the 09 edge.
Personally I finished the session with the same feeling as when i first rode an Ozone, much happiness. Rhys was the same. (I should point out that it could be said thatRhys and I come from different ends of the weight spectrum)
Definitly worth a demo.

Rode this again in around 20 to 23 knots SE for nearly 5 hours on Saturday.
I had the best session of the summer so far. This kite boosts better than the 08 Edge. Power is the same. It definitly hangs better and the increase in bar pressure is magic . I felt confident and in complete control of the power the kite develops and was therefore confident to try some new stuff and made some significant progression with this kite.

Had my new 13m RX edge out in over 30 knots on the weekend....$%^kin sick. huge air, huge hang time and very controlable. I weigh 95 kilos(this morning), so okay heavy guy, big kite no problem ...but when Rhys at maybe 70 kilos after a feed, hops on it, in the same conditions and comes in grinning from ear to ear ,then this kite is something special. At times, he didn't look like he was ever gonna come down from a jump. I have riden this kite from 12 to around 35 knots now....i am a huge ozone edge fan, this 09 model confirms for me the reason why.
