Got a new Vapor last week and have ridden it twice now - once in winds that were far to light (10-12kts) and once in 15-23kts, I am 95kgs and have been riding Airush Flows and LF Havocs. The kite is initially like the Havoc with light bar pressure but not as light, and its fast in the sky too and allows for nice floaty jumps a part from the times when you are going up and its heading down (took a while to adjust to the speed on a few jumps).
It loops really well too - does them in a blink of an eye which is exciting, not that Im doing anything too out there - more by mistake truth be known but I can see progression to a kite like this speeding up the learning curve.
In general a very nice kite - doesnt have the tractor pull of the flow but its there and an exciting kite.

Third flight under the belt and this kite continues to impress, the fifth line safety setup is a little confusing, in that the attachment is on the chicken loop, and the recoil leash is so long that when attached to the harness (front of mine as I dont or cant do the handle pass thing) it nearly touches the ground, got my foot accidentally caught in it today.

Obviously if it was unhooked it would be fine - but for 95% of the riding its way too long... or am I doing something wrong?

Also I need to learn to loop the other way - as the fifth line and the depower lines twist when you loop, which Im sure could potentially cause a malfunction when released if you have been looping one direction all day!

Not a perfect kite but a good one, tough as nails and the one pump is a welcome ddition!

hey man. your leash might be too long, you can get shorter leashes, none of mine touch the ground from my harness even wen folded in hald directly.

that twist up issue is quite common on all kites. even my 4 line best bar spins up all the time and it has a pully on it! all you do is if you kite loop do a couple front rolls to untwist, if you downloop do back rolls to untwist, these are done in the same directions as the loop. so if ur riding to the left n u KL u do a front roll riding to the left aswell. or you can do the opposite rotation on an opposite tack. i find that if it twist up to much i just grab the CL and spin that round a couple times in my hands. Brilliant kites the Vapors though eh?

Thanks Charl - I will be trying a shorter leash today and willl do some releases to see how it goes. Im currently forward looping my turns to untwist but I will bite the bullet today also and start learning the forward flip as its the back flip that is getting my lines twisted.

Yeah front rolls i found are easier to learn than backs. and they are more controlable i find also. actually come to think of it my back rolls are quite weak at the moment
