Unwrapped it, pumped it up to discover it has a couple extra struts, those struts are super skinny and the whole kite looks only a tad bigger than my 9m reactor 05.

I had to do a lot of tuning to get it right but I can only say don't hesitate if you liked the 05 reactors. I was very happy with the 30 minutes I had on the thing. It's very fast for a 12m and I know everyone says that about their kites but I'll put it in perspective for you.
I live in Geraldton, I kite every day and the most used kite I have is a 6m with a 9m a close second. I hate slow assed kites because I simply are not used to them, I like fast kites.

The 12m reactor 06 is VERY fast kite and I can totally recommend it to advanced riders. Again, get someone who knows tuning kites to assist when setting this one up.

Well Iv had mine since just befor Xmas now , by the way, due to your recomendation Gavin. It took me a bit of getting used to but I love the 12m and am surprised the you dont see more of these kites around . my conclusion is , they are not that fast realy, the feel is just of a kite that gives me absolute feedback on the bar without beeing too light or too heavy, great depower you can turn the power on and off as required. The reactor will do exactly what you want it to do at once, which can be a bit quick if the wind picks up and you decide to stay out, you then get punished for not changing down to the 9m. While on the 9, I had to put a 5th line on this kite due to the folding up and it has fixed the problem, I prefered to use 4 line setup though.
I know this has been talked of before, and the importer stated "end of discusion" well thats not good enough, pumping the kite up to max presure is just crap, its a great kite up to this point, and is very fast, great in the waves, but.....

seems to me airush cant do anything new
the old lift pros would fold like a taco
why they deny problems and refuse to support consumers only backfires on them

do yourself a favour and get an octane, fast, SOLID, one pump etc, they dont fold and they are the ants pants

slingshot has had an issue with the bar, but replaced with new bar, new ropes, no quibbles whinging or denying a problem - nice attitude

Reactor 12m - great kite, smooth, fast turning, great thru the whole wind range, very good in lower wind range, never fly's backwards, poeple i have given a try of it too loved it, lightly built but that's why it is light!, not that fast a kite compared to the Lift Pro 11.5.
Which contrary to a previous post, i think is the most enjoyable kite i have owned and i have owned many.I would buy one tomorrow if i could. if you have one in good nic for sale let me know.
The 11.5 LP was the fastest flying kite of it's size i have ever flown and many people who flew it said the same, Darren Marshall, the Aussie champ flew one and said the same. I have flown the 11.5LP in 30 knots and Darren loved it in upto 32knots. Boost was unbeleiveable. loved it more than the reactor!!
