Hi, I'm looking for lessons on Northern Beaches. Have own kit. Just not confident with it. 2011 chaos. Done plenty of body dragging, not much riding. Need to dust off the cobwebs this summer. Cheers

James Casey used to do lessons. I did one with him. The only problem is that you will be learning in surf, without headset radios. It is super difficult.

After one lesson I booked in with the guys at Botany. Much safer, flat water and headsets. The Botany instructors are much better set up for lessons and you will get much more out of it. Just bite the bullet and drive down there.

In my case I did my lessons over the christmas break. I had lessons for three days in a row followed by five days kiting port botany. (was before the rain when we got seabreezes). At the end of the week I was confidently kiting upwind and transitioning. Then I moved back to the Northern Beaches, first at Fishermans then eventually at Long Reef.

Hey thanks for that. I actually called James and he doesn't do kite lessons anymore. I'll hit up the botany crew. I saw the other day kite power had closed their doors unfortunately but I saw another just passed San Souci. Cheers for the advice. Hopefully I'll get up and riding this summer.
