Hi all,
I'm still learning here. Am riding upwind and carving turns. Some days I lose a heap of ground and I'm not sure if I'm just over powered or losing my edge or both. Anyone have some tips for edging is super choppy conditions? Currently riding a Code v1 138. Was also out in about 18knots and changed from my 12m to 10m and it was so slow to react in certain positions I guess? On the change of direction even with full steer it wouldn't budge much. I was almost full stopping and water starting again. Any advice ?
cheers
Anyone have some tips for edging is super choppy conditions? Ride as SLOW as possible with heavy back foot pressure. Shift your upper body towards the back leg to increase the back foot pressure. It's all about finding that limit, too much edging, pointing the board too much upwind or with too slow of speed, you will stop and sink. Too little edging, board pointing a little too much downwind or too much speed, you will go too fast and lose ground. It can take a couple of years of practice to find that optimal stance and speed in various conditions to get the best upwind angle possible, so don't expect to get instant results by trying to change your technique.

Most likely due to a back-stalling kite. Make sure your lines are perfectly tuned

hope this helps
