Hi all.

I have a naish pump which has a relatively large ball on the pump leash. Its all very well when I'm using it to pump up a naish kite, but when I want to attach the ball to a Core kite the ball doesn't fit into the loop on the kite.
Is there any quick fix to this problem??

Thanks

I have an Ozone Pump for my Slingshot kite and the leash out the box isn't compatible with the kite. What I did was attach a small Carabiner to the pump leash and now it works fine for the kite.

Think of some potential objects you can use to modify the pump leash.

I just use either a plastic hook or a flat piece of plastic with a hole in the middle (goes through like a button) Just make sure there is nothing abrasive.

I have a naish pump and one of my kites (not a naish) has a small loop for its pump leash.

I also have a double carabina (ie 2 carabinas joined by a short rope) which I use to tether launch. This works really well to join the pump onto the kite. Basically i tie a knot onto the leash, clip one carabina onto this and the other clips onto the kite.

Simples. Two birds with one stone.

I just put my harness on (or stand on it) and clip off my leash to the kite, i find that the pump leashes are too short and sometimes the struts do not fully inflate as they can be compressed.

bit of string on the attachment point to add a larger attachment loop to the Core kite?

My switch pump has a ball with a bungee loop next to it. You put the ball through the loop on the LE then the bungee loop over the ball to secure it. If the ball doesn't fit through the loop on the LE you put the bungee loop through the loop on the LE then put the ball through the bungee loop.

Thanks for clearing that up. I think people think about things to much! The ball set up is really quite easy. No need to make anything or swap parts from other kites. Just put the cord through the kite attachment and then pull tight over the ball. Done.
