Laurie, can this be stickied?

I thought it would be good to have a beginner trick thread, especially dedicated to hooked-in tricks (chicken loop attached to your harness).

My favourites so far are ...

* back roll and
* load n pop, obviously mainly for jumps, but I've been doing that also for simple toe side riding, which makes it easier than just sliding to toe side and being dragged by waves or chop.
* The Jesus: a high boost jump where you hang and pose like Jesus on the cross

* add yours here!

The teabag. Failed jump sending you straight downwind with no height but full speed, dunking like a teabag...

Is a darkslide too advanced?

Definitely one of the best looking hooked-in tricks. Very keen to give them a go this season

Cause it's hard and I'm on a new board with so much rocker that if I put my arm out streight i get a nose grab. Favourite tricks are kite in a tree, second longest bum drag on the sand (friend beat me), and break your flimsy core gts in 3 parts in a 15knot crash. Unhooking on my rally is weird but love the kite for everything else

Ok so freestyle is not my thing. It never will be. I much prefer full pace smashing wave lips and boosting as fast and long as possible touching down as soft as possible.

That said a boned board grab is simple and looks stylish. I am prone to the occasional upside down. Is that a deadman?
