Found a gopro at Mentone this morning. I believe it has been in the water for a while, files date back to June 2012

Lost on the beaches around Aspendale from what I can tell.

That would be funny.
Unfortunately this camera didn't make it out of the Bay, it was lost around Chelsea / Aspendale, I can tell from the footage.
I wonder if that'll be the longest time so far a camera has "survived" st sea?

Post a pic of some of the footage - is there any footage of the owner of the camera?

Hi Humdrum, I lost a GoPro 3 surf with a head strap on Aspendale beach about 4 weeks ago. The last 'human' footage shot be of me crashing after a little jump. I was only about 20 m from shore.

I don't think it is the one you have found based on the dates but just thought I would check.

It may be yours, as when I accidentally took a photo, the time stamp was still 2012, so maybe the date just hadn't been set.
Model, colour and what kind of photo did you take beforehand? :)
