just pulled this from our KA insurance summary,
I mean really, what's the point.

LOSS OF INCOME This benefit provides cover for insured persons who are disabled from an injury relating to events covered and are unable to work. BENEFIT 85% of your income up to a maximum of $350 per week whichever is the lesser.

instructors would be getting that 85% as the 350 would be more hahahaha

If you only made $350 a week they would pay out 85% of that so ~$300. If you make more than $412 ($350/0.85) you cap out at $350.

125 bucks a year for insurance is cheap. I had a kite injury that put me out for 3 months. When I received a check from them for 4 grand I was pretty happy. Nowhere near my income, but it handled a new quiver of kites and board pretty nicely.

I've paid it for the last 4 years since I started kiting.

If I hurt somebody else I know I'm covered

you won't be getting anything Kozzie, since you don't pay your membership.

Not having a KA membership is just wrong

KA is a currpted institution dominated by the big brands
They not doing any thing for the sport kiteboarding is dieing in Auastralia.
No comps no prizes for Athletes .
The only comp with some decent prizes is merrimbula and is all crap where the sponsor give away prizes for team riders what a joke

So, after being a member of this forum for all of 5 minutes you know all about KA. Seriously, most KA members don't care about comps. It's the other benefits that stack up.

Have to disagree. KA has nothing to do with "big brands" and therefore is not currpted in this way.

The opening page has a board that has had the logo Photoshop'd off and even the partners tab has no brands mentioned.

No comment regarding the rest of your rant.

$125 is a small price to pay to know you are covered if you hurt someone, the loss of income money is just a bonus

. Hopefully I will never have to claim on it. Sometimes s**t happens, and if it happens to me at least i'm covered thanks to KA.

My experience with Marimbulla is exactly the opposite mate. those dudes are really passionate about hookin up young up comers. They do always give the big names the win but thats because they are the best. And in saying that, the big names dont useally even except a prize.
