hey guys/gals,
thinkin about gettin a 10m vapour 2. i heard they had a demo or two at kitestock, and was wondering what the general consensus was regarding these kites??? Anyone have a ride? opinions?? all feedback appreciated

oh, skill level intermediate... sorta... on a good day...
ok... optimistic beginner, but it wont be my main kite!

Hey T one I have my new 12 and 8.5 and just waiting for wind. There are stacks of great kites out there and the Vapor 10m really gelled with me - a real fun kite to fly and good on flat water and surf... great bar pressure and super quick relaunch.

Cant go wrong I wouldnt think - construction on the new II's looks even better - you can see the changes they have made from experience...

Still try them all!, The Cores have good reviews as do the ozones...

Thanks Lance, bit limited with demo options up here, but might try one next time im in WA. currently have flows and like 'em but dont have much comparative experience (only kites iv'e ever used..) Am really still at the point where I wouldn't know a good kite if it bit me on the ass, and am really just looking for a smaller kite i can use on hols etc where there is more wind than here, that i wont grow out of as i progress...

Hey T one all I can say is when I got my 10m Vapor coming from my 12 flow 07 my first 3 runs I just parked the kite and smiled - it was a great feeling and I never looked back from there. If you like the flows then the Vapors you will be stoked with - 10 is the magic size and you will see your riding improve dramatically with the change.

Wonderful kite to fly and great to progress with.

Got to ride the Vapor II today - and although the wind was much lighter than I had hoped I was pretty happy with the kite. Guys commented on the build quality and look of the kite and in this regard it is a step up on the original. The second version has taken on the feedback from users to produce a more refined kite than a total leap from the previous model.

Things like the mouse ears replacement work a treat and in the light wind the 12 was still quite quick and had more pull than I expected.

I cant wait for some decent wind and the chance to ride the 8.5 - last year the 10 Vapor was my favourite, just loved the speed and the range and it was a great kite in the waves, the 12 reflected this today and Im sure the 8.5 will be even better.

One thing the Vapor does a little too well is relaunch - it can flip around so fast that you find your kite climbing straight through the power zone - and in the surf this is a good thing but you need to know its coming!

A good kite that seems to work well in a broad range of conditions.
