The screw on one of my straps came out and stript the thread at the same time.
Any sagestions would be much apreciated I have allready moved the straps in to the next holes but it feeals a bit to close together.

Hey Benny G, you may be able to drill the insert out a little, run a Bottoming tap into the insert and insert a helicoil to the original thread size.

Speak to an engineering workshop, they should be able to do it for you for stuff all. It only takes about 5 minutes to inser a new helicoil.

Good winds,

Good winds,

Once again Kite hard hits the nail on the head. I've done a fair bit of work with helicoils (stripped alloy heads), it's only 5 min job, drill and tap, then screw in helicoil. They should be able to match the same thread as as your existing bolt, if not you may have to go to marine shop and get one, no big task.

Good luck

Drill through the board and use a coach bolt and nylock nut on the upside, approx $1.
