does the kite s fabric of a brand new kite weaken overtime (i mean 5 6 years) if it stays in its bag.

My guess is no, it's UV light, sand, and flapping on the beach that does the damage. That and crashing it onto rocks and sticks.

Agreed. The only other thing would be storing it wet and unable to dry. Especially with fresh water. My experience packing a kite slightly damp with salt water is not a bad thing as long as it is well ventilated.

I had kites sitting in a basic open shed for 3 years, vermin got into one kite and ate plenty of wholes all through the canopy not worth fixing...makes you wonder how desperate for a feed they were

I moved to a cold climate in 2006 and had my old 2003 and 2004 kites in storage for 6 years. Pulled them out in 2013 and had a fantastic first session (and lots of comments about my "retro" kite)
Upgraded within a few weeks after seeing how easily the new kites relaunch, amount of de power etc.
Never had any issues with kite in spite of its 10 year age however I have noted that the rubber/silicon type fittings on other items I've had stored has degraded severely even when stored in a cool dark place. I suspect the valves, "one pump" tubes and bladders will degrade before the fabric on kites in long term storage.

I pulled out an Ozone Sport+ 2009 the other day. Good as new, still a nice kite to use.
The colours are terrible though, it's basically white and grey with some crappy writing on it.

As stated Uv and flapping on the beach. And talking on beach instead of riding with kite flapping and exposed to uv will definitely help break down the lifespan. But good trick is its if being left for a while. Buy a car windscreen cover and wrap your kite bag in it as its insulated that is also vital if storing it in your car boot all day before arvo ride.
But the new material will still be like new only issue might be valves losing air as the glue 6yrs ago isn't as good as current glue used as people had issues with valves. Now get it out of bag and onto the water

It's the bladders and valves that will go first - if at all. The kite material itself is quite good, even from 10 years ago.
