was looking to buy a cheapish spring suit for this season, anyone got any suggestions?

yeah try the Perth diving academy. they have some cheap springers. they have a website cant really remember it but just google them.

get your self a hot skin, its works almost as good as a springy but way more comfortable

Go to SOS in Freo. Best selection of wetties, i think i paid $150 for mine and have worn it almost every (summer) session for 3 years.
