HI All .going down to augusta over the weekend with wife and kid. anyone know of a beginner friendly spot to take the family? cheers.

There are really no ' beginner friendly spots' in Augusta. It is either howling on shore out side the river mouth or a tad gusty on the inside blowing you accross the river to gnarly tree branches and stumps.

Many a beginner has come badly unstuck in Augusta and down south in general.

Australind, on the way down south , is a great spot to learn how to kitesurf. It just takes a bit more seabreeze to get in there.

In fact a lot of crew used to travel up from Augusta/ Margs to learn in Australind before going back and facing the challenges of down south.
