I had some problems with the stupid bit of vacuum cleaner hose they give you with the pump splitting (especially during travel when it was packed inside the pump), this length of 19mm plumbing hose fixed the problem a treat

I had the same problem with a hose on one of my North pumps. looking around the shed, I found that, that black plastic pipe that is used for garden pop up sprinklers is a perfect fit inside the hose. Cut off a bit to 75mm long and use it as a joiner, after cutting away the bit of damaged hose. You could use a glue like Tarzans Grip to make it permanent.

I never have problems with split hoses anymore since some wise person told me to just disconnect the pump hose from the pump when packing up. If you don't the hose gets a kink in it and eventually it will split there.

Big W sells pumps in the camping section for $15. Exactly the same.

If you want it to still look cool, remove the plunger and place it into your branded pump.
