just brought Reo v3 an wanted to know what the best line lengths for down the line wave riding?? for park an drift?

Well I run the standard line lengths, knot closest to the kite.
I just set and forget to be honest; the kite is a dream.

Hi there, I find that 20 meter lines are really nice on my reo. It is obviously going to be really quick but that helps a lot in the waves with turning and in sticky scenarios e.g. say if your kite was down, its heaps faster to get it back up on 20 meter lines.

I prefer longer lines (24-27) on almost all kites for waveriding, especially in more onshore wind. The kite will drift better and you have a far better chance of "catching" it again if it starts falling out of the sky. It's mostly personal preference I think, but is also dependent a little on what style of waverider you are.

Standard 24's are fine. The reo's turn well, even when depowered on that length, so no real need to go shorter. As rowdy said they drift better on longer lines. You may get an advantage if you are trying to use only one size kite in stronger conditions. Some other kites compensate for lack of turning speed with shorter lines and some riders just prefer them to. Try them if you can borrow a set

I tried shorter 20m lines on the REO while it suited my last kite better a lithium it seems to make the REO less fluent and snappy. However I think lopping 2m off to 22m probably would get a slight improve on response.
