the point is people are blowing up about lenten like he is doing something new or like he is crazy when bertand was doing **** like this ages and twice as crazy and that photo in the gorge takes this photo comp out that photo is just instant death

sick pic. Has anyone seen that pic in VOL 6 ISSUE 4 kbm, just past the middle, with Dimitris Maramedidis doing a huge loop in what looks like to be in the jungle. He is on a Yellow AIRRUSH. so sick.

WTF. lenten is about 6 times higher then any of bertrands loops. Its 40knots, he does it off a wave and he lands it.

Both wicked loops, but for me they are completely different. I admire bertrands for balls, Ruben for balls and landing it.

You can never land kiteloops like Bertrand does em' Ruben's might be hooked in but hes going like twice as big and unhooking at the peak and doing a handle pass, and on long lines.

Just cause Ruben rides comps does sent stuff and kiteloops and he doesnt just hit sliders and do 3-0's all day doesn't mean hes ****. IMO best rider in the world ATM hands down.

Stop being so friggen obsessed with the Autofocus crew, not everyone has to ride like them. Have you not seen the Brazil part 1 video, ruben lands a pretty slick front mobe 5 (2 air passes) and he is easily the most ballsy rider out there going for everything real powered.

Short lines make loops way more casual. Try the same loop on 27, or 30's... add a small kite .....then feel the whip.

sure short lines are easier to get over the kite but... long lines is alot easier to land soft and you really dont go over the kite much, i think i would rather be in the lenten loop than that first loop of betrands, i dont think u fully realise just how high he is and how much cock hes gonna smoke when he comes down. he musta been super powered to go that high on short lines.
p.s.after all its just a loop, pull in on the bar and your locking that one in thanx eddie, no matter what happens your stuck with it, not much skill involved really. should quit wasting his time.

sorry i thought the idea of doing kiteloops were to land them, from a personal perspective at least. From spectator anything goes, still the funnest trick to watch when it's cranking. Nothing like a bit of peer pressure to make someone light it up.

first loop (w trick), well almost got it, just need to keep my feet in the straps

Ruben's style of riding is sick. big airs are freaking cool beats riding like the rest of the world. i just said when it comes to kiteloops, which is a trick that that is mainly associated with the balls factor and not that much skill(unless u start doing tricks with it)bertrand did some of the craziest ones iv ever seen and he was freaking high.

If you want to see Lenton looping in the gorge check out the loops he does over trees. I think a lot of the differences is that the kites loop smaller these days, where in the old days they were always going to loop lower than you.

I disagree. Each person gets out of this sport whatever they want. If I want to go out and do backloops all day and that's an achievement for me than good on me.

Having said that I claim stuff I don't land as long as I am claiming the carnage factor, or even the balls to try stuff. Mmmmmm we love carnage!

and the other thing is notice that most of those kiteloop pics are actually pretty old kites - who needs a bow?!?!?

Kiteloops started becoming gay around the time of the first kiteloop handlepasses, now everyone does them with two hands on one side of the bar so they dont get very much height and not much whip. You can still do good kiteloops but turn it slow so you get heaps of height, then crank it through the bottom turn and it will be nice and low. Kiteloops might not be a skilled trick but they are a unique thing to kiteboarding and who doesnt love physcing someone up to do a massive kiteloop only for them to eat crap majorly. Cmon you all know you've stood on the beach yelling crap and waving arms
