Ok well im getting a new kite, most probably a 14m.
Kites i have used:
06 torch 16m: best kite ive ridden, such a nice feeling to it, but its just too big for me
07 boxer 12m: nice kite, but this time its too small for me to do anythin but plane
08 Helix 14m: i demoed this kite, and love it, very close 2nd
07 LF Assault II 16m: alright, i cant go upwind on it very well, but alright jumping, probably too big again

Ok well heres the pickel:
Should i get a helix, a vegas 08, an 08 torch or an alliance? all 14m. Or maybe some type of foil?

Whats the depower like on the alliance and the vegas, being C shapes? Wind Range?
Im also tentative about getting a north because of the troulbe a couple of people had with their 07 north rhino bladders. Any thoughts/opinions are much apprieciated

You should also check out the Airush Vapor. Look and see how it is being reviewed in just about every kite test since it's release. Big wind range, super light on the bar, fast turning and super responsive.

What an absolutely foreign universe that sounds like. I'm 108 kg and don't bother going out under 18 knots.

Nooooooooo Do PL kites pull in 11-14 knorts? No. Does anybody ride Airush? No.

OK you loved your Torch. On that you should go with the Alliance as it will feel the closest to that but with much greater wind range than your 06.

Just because it ain't popular in your area doesn't mean the kite isn't any good . WA has a lot of Airush kites as do other towns where they are decently represented.

Personally I don't give a bugger what you ride, but it's your loss if you don't do your homework

why go new? I still think the torch 2's are the bomb. 14m had about the same bottom end as the 16m. The 16m just had a bit more grunt (pull for freestyle) but didnt get u going upwind any earlier. Well thats what i thought!

there are so many good kites out there. in the end u will end up liking what you have bought even if it is ****. so go with the one with the prettiest colours!
