There's a web page on this very site called "Buy and Sell", just two tabs left of the Forums Tab. Probably about 5000 kites and boards for sale second hand in there. I'm sure you'll be spoiled for choice.

Almost every shop in Australia sells second hand kites so why not drop into one and ask there?

Read through the first two pages of this section of the seabreeze forums;

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Kitesurfing/Newbies-Tips-Tricks/

Most of the answers to your first questions can be found in the discussions.

Nominating " Australia" as your location doesn't help direct you to schools & local suppliers!

GET LESSONS !!!! (yes the caps are on.....I am yelling because I believe it is very important, your life, may depend on it)

Lessons also allow you to discuss options, sizes, brands etc. with your chosen instructor.

Be warned.....it can rapidly become addictive
