A kite surfing holiday with your non-kiter girlfriend: I often head out on vacation with the sole intent of spending as much time possible kite surfing. One of the big issues that I often run into with vacations like this is that it often makes my girlfriend very unhappy because I don't get to spend as much time on vacation with her. On a recent trip to the Philippines I decided to get my girlfriend involved and set her up with some rental gear and high-quality instructors to help her get a feel for my hobby so that we can share it together. The Siargao accommodation in the Philippines was perfect because it had a kite boarding school and kite surfing lessons available on site. This means that we could just wake up in the morning, get access to her rental gear and enjoy a quick lesson before heading out into the water to enjoy the day together. Kite surfing in Philippines is a real pleasure and the weather is absolutely perfect for kite boarding or kite surfing. In the area around the Siargao accommodation that we took you could explore vast bays, open waters and beautiful coves . This gave me a big advantage as well as other times that I've gone kite surfing in the Philippines I have had to drag all of my kite surfing gear on the plane with me. The rental equipment that was available at this facility was top-notch and I felt like I was at home without having to inconvenience myself carrying everything with me on the plane. My girlfriend also love the careful instruction at the kiteboarding school and quickly began to understand why I enjoy this activity so much. She did very well for her first lessons and on this vacation we get to spend more time together than ever!

Phillipines has great islands, beachs and resorts but selling kiting holidays to West Australians is like trying to sell icecream to Eskimos

Your not thinking long term. Let's say you marry thus woman and have kids. If she becomes an avid kiter. Guess what half the time there's wind she will want to go kiting and you will be stuck looking after kids.

No!

The evil plan is to get her into some light wind activity. So when it's windy she doesn't want to go out and when there's no wind you can be like "I'll look after the kids......."

More than a free plug... full on advert, I'd say!

There's a few gems from "Michael 2015" on the forums, pimping his South East Asian kiteschools...
