Mate, is that supposed to be a promo video. Or just a kitesurfing video. If it was supposed to be a promo vid, u did a reasonably good job, except that I,m not sure what you were selling. However if it was supposed to be a kitesurfing vid, a bit of constructive critacism. Don't chop it up so much, let the moves run a bit longer. Also tone down the effects, it makes it look over edited. I was almost more focused on what effects u were using than the subject(kiting). When editing less is definatly more if u know what I mean. The average punter should not notice a well edited vid, unless your going for an andy gordon type look.

BTW i'm heading to Boracay early next year. Can't wait.

The advice is what i want from people, thanks for being honest...Not promoting anything but Mui ne...If that brings in more kiters then more people drink piss in my bar here and it puts us on the map....

Spent a month in Boracay in march, caught the end of the season...Its a top place, im sure you will enjoy...Why not jump across the south China Sea,flights are cheap with air asia and we are still getting a fair whack of wind at the moment..

Just set up fisheye this season and this is my first film, aimed at punters on holiday and marketed fairly cheap...the kite cam can do a 10mp still every 10 secs which works well...

Thanks again for the comments ,

I have been thinking about Mui Ne as a family holiday/kiteing trip but the deal is i have to find a family friendly place to stay with a pool! Can you help me out with any suggestions, middle of the road price wise? And then I can come and help you drink your grog!

I was in Boracay in late March. No wind while I was there, but a beautiful place.
The locals are friendly, and it would be a great place to kite.
Ken, the local kitesurfing champion, has a shop on Bulabog Beach called Freestyle Academy. Nice guy and very helpful if you want to know more about the place.
Heading back at the end of June. Hopefully I will have better luck this time.

i spend about 5 weeks in Mui ne in dec 07, didn't get one riding day the whole time, however it still has my vote, I love the country and the place. I was just unlucky cause I know it usually cranks that time of year almost every day. I did it on mad budget, about $25AUS per day and still managed to eat well and drink every night.

Will bypass all the flakey comments left on this thread and skip to what I started it for, letting people know about some good, cheap places to holiday/kite.

Can't list all the family friendly places on here but can comment on suggestions any of you have found while looking into places to stay in Vietnam..If anyone has any queries about this or that resort/hotel I will try to give you an honest answer and all I ask from you is a visit to the bar here (pogo bar) your participation in a cold, and they are ice cold bevvy and a shake of your hand when you do!!!!

In response to tom83 you could easily hit all the best locations here in Asia and do it on the cheap...Oviously there is Mui ne but Boracay is pretty special with winds the same season as Vietnam (oct-Apr) and has the resorts, nightlife and family options catered for...Using Air Asia you could hit Philipines, Vietnam and Thailand( Hua Hin) and keep the cost to a minimum.....Pack a 12 and 9 and you will be laughing!!!!!

Hope this has helped......

For those interested in Boracay, I got a cheap return flight for $800 on special with Philippine airlines. They fly direct to Manila. The rest do stopovers, usually in Singapore.
You then need to get an internal flight to Caticlan. This cost me $45 return, also on special. Then it's a bus and ferry to Boracay. Allow an extra $30 for this.
Accommodation at Sur on White Beach, Station 1 is at the moment $70 per night, though you can get much cheaper. Some around $30 per night.
Heaps of restaurants, and plenty to do. The Filipino people are very friendly and helpful, and their service is great. If you want to keep an eye on the wind there, go to this site:

Sorry to take the focus off Mui Nei Katoe, but I just love the place.

Oh, and bennie, KKK is the local handle for Kurnell. Kurnell Kiting Klan, Kings of Kurnell Kounty, whatever. It's just always been called that. Great bunch of guys, always helpful and friendly as anyone will attest to.
My forum name is actually KKiter (Kurnell Kiter). The logo is a take on the Cabrinha Crossbow logo.
We have kiters from all ethnic groups, we even kite with some poms. Sorry Kev, Allan, Morgan and whoever else I forgot.
Chill out mate. Don't take life so seriously.
