In Australia we have apprx 1500 members who are covered under the KA insurance policy, as already pointed out from the conversation above, every year there are claims against the policy in varying forms. All cases where there is a legitimate claim, the policy pays out to what is expected. There is a lot of transparency and available information for what is covered through this link -

V-insurance is our current broker and we have found them to be very helpful with insurance related matters, they deal with a number of other sporting bodies and have a very good reputation within the industry.
