hello everybody,
I am planning to go for a week to Cocos in July 2017 - not just by myself for a week of kiting and maybe some snorkelling. Accommodation is painfully expensive and mostly offered as twin rooms. I was wondering if there is a friendly soul with same desire to go and same interest in reducing cost of accommodation - we could share the cost and would probably be enough to cover food expenses for a week. please contact me if interested and I can share more details on priv email. Also - would anybody be kind enough and suggest some 'cheap' (~100AUD) single room/bed accommodation?
Thanks MK

There is no such thing here. Unless you manage to rent a room from a local(which is close to impossible during the kite season)

There is a cheap accommodation.

Camping is allowed near the kiting beach, and Helen & David from Cocos Autos might have a rental camper.

At the end, some sort of transport is needed if staying around the airport...

Why waste your time....

Contact Jen at cocos kitesurfing and just do the share house....cheep food also.

Yes accom may be cheeper. But cost the same in the long run

Agree with the above. You should definitely contact Jen a Zephyr but do your due diligence and weigh up all the options.

If you're not looking for progression lessons then going with Zephyr may not be the most economical option for you.

Sure Zephyr put together a great trip and it's all inclusive with progression lessons thrown in - I've done it twice and highly recommend them - but last year you could get accommodation, hire a car and stay for 2 weeks for significantly less than a Zephyr tour and that also included allowance for your food and booze that you will buy whilst your there.

You wont be disappointed with a Zephyr tour though. They get a green thumb from me.
