hey winds been pretty light lately and im in need of a bigger kite i have an 07 havoc 10m and need a lite wind kite , there wouldnt be that much diff between the 10 and 12 havoc in the 07 range so i wonder if theres anyone can recomend good light wind kite prob last years so i can get around 1000

bit of an update looking at a 12 m airrush flow is anyone riding these lite wind just dont wanna blow all me money on a kite that aint much diff to my 10

134 board im looking now towards an 08 havoc 14m for 1100

I've got a 14m Cabrina black tip only used 7-8 times....yours for a bargain $500

Hi Nathand,

A better idea would be to look at picking up an Airush Exile 135 x 47 board. It will increase your bottom end dramatically and will be cheaper if you can find one, than buying a kite.

A 12m Flow 07 or 08 is a grunty kite. Would have a lot more bottom end than the Havoc. See what is on the classifieds.

Or wait a few moths and buy our ex rental one.

yeah im riding a 07 airush flow,very grunty kite

do u get up and goin in say 12 knots on your 12 flow

i need bout 15kts to get going nicely,but i also weigh 93 kgs

if your boards ok, you should get up and going on a 12 no problems from about 12 kts, and be thumping in 18

so do blokes think i thould put it 1100 on a 14 or 500 on a 12?

Get a 14 and you'll have the perfect quiver. I'm 75kg, have a 10 & 14 myself. I travel with these 2 sizes and a board around the world. Wind range: 10/12kts-35kts.

12 is way too close to 10 in my opinion. Get the 14.

I use a 2007 13m Best Waroo and a 151 x 42 liquid force board and can get up in 11-12kts, and can stay upwind at about 13-15kts if the wind is constant. I am 92kg as well.

This size board is no good over about 20-22kts though, and when Im finished 'learning' I'll get another smaller board and perhaps a smaller kite to handle the 20-30kt wind range. You should be able to pick one up for $350-400 second hand cause their not that expensive new when compared to others.

I wont hurry upgrading, cause theres no bloody wind in NSW

Overall, Im very happy with the 2007 13m Waroo performance and can recommend it to anyone - especially round my weight.

i weigh 65 and i got a 15m cabrinha omega for my light wind kite. my mate weighs 95 and he can use it in the same wind.. and he is amzingly crap at kiting. i stick with a 9m and a 15m. then you dont have 100 kites laying around, saves you money and you are still covered in any wind range, eccept the wind at the moment minus 7 knots

alright so im goin for argumenr a 13 or 14 now the agument is go the havoc 08 14 or branch out to say a best 13 or something else

Ahhhuumm... bollocks matey. You can't generalise about a brand's entire output.

I have 2 Best Cs (Yargas) and they have taken a pounding. On several occassions i thought I was going to be left with a shredded canopy (catching waves not recomended). Results: not one rip to date after thrashing my gear for 2 seasons (they were one season old when i bought it too). The build quality of these Yargas is tops. BTW I have no pimping afiliation or anything to gain. Simply put the tough factor is way up there.

Reports were the original Waroos were a bit suss on stitching though. Wanna know how many Cab owners (x-bows I think) I have spoken to lately who love the way there kites fly but can't believe how readily the come apart???
