I'm keen to get into kite boarding, before i buy all the gear i'm going to learn on a training Kite. I have done lost's of snowboarding and wake boarding and was after some advice about starting Kiteboarding. I want to use my wakeboard to try and save some $$$'s while learning. is this a good idea ????????

Not a good idea a competent rider may be able to make it work. But for a learner it will be frustrating to get going get a good edge and go up wind. The best bet is to shop around for a cheap secondhand kiteboard that is on the biggish size then when you are done learning on it you can sell it off or keep it as a light wind board.
On average depending on your weight and kite choice, Around 137-140 is a good learner size, or if you are a bit more patient and want to learn on a smaller board 130-135 would be ok depending on width and you will be able to keep using it as you progress.
Just remember to check reviews on secondhand gear before you buy or ask some questions on this forum and get some advice from people that have used the gear before.
