when i watch the vids on Youtube.com they keep stopping and starting all the time. Is it my computor? or does everyone else have this problem? Does anyone know of anything i can download or what i can do to improve the player?

I don't want any replies from: 1. Gilbo, 2. Coil, 3. Aaron, 4. Surfer62, or any other smartarse torquay kiter.

if I was you waxy i'd use one of those 1956 olympic bricks you've been collecting to encourage your computer to speed up a bit. Oh yeah you can drop my caravan back when your finished using it to get your mug in the local press. Nice pic by the way!
If your still having problems ask Gilbo, he's an I.T. guy, and I'm sure as long as he's finished measuring his "5th line" he'd be glad to help.

You have a lag problem with your internet speed. When it starts playing you need to press the anti-lag operation on the keyboard. Do this by holding the ALT key and then press F4 several times. This should solve all of your problems

you got me kev, just thought as I wasn't listed in your banned list, and technically i'm not a torquay smartarse, coming from the other side of spring creek, that you wouldn't mind. Anyway couldn't resist and seem like i'm on your banned list now.
good luck with u-tube

Hey Waxhead,

This is a common problem due to YouTube videos (which are based on Macromedia Flash) being incompatible with most anti-virus programs. You need to turn off your anti-virus program, and also your firewall, if you're running one.

When you open a video in youtube do it while you are reading seabreeze.

1. That way you can start the video download, push the pause button at the begining (it will still keep downloading).
2. Go back and read a couple of posts.
3. Then Go back and enjoy your video a minute later without interuptions.

or
Get a faster connection (I have 512 and this happens)

Or
download them with this and watch later from your hard drive
1 open the file in youtube
2 copy the URL into this site (http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php)
3 press the download button on the right
4 save to disk
5 Download an flv player (available from same page)
6 get a bigger hard drive and enjoy

Dear waxhead, I hope this message finds you well. I just think the operating platform of a commodore 64 is just not enough for utube as the kids who developed utube weren't alive when you bought your state of the art pc. Although I confirm that he is a well known torquay smartarse and on your banned list he is an IT guru so get Gilligan onto the project asap. I'm sure he charges by the hour which is testament to the amount of time he spends at torquay point. Good luck out there old chap.

ps fatso, good to see that you've come over from the darkside

what do you mean coiley, I've meen using MAC's for ages now! that might be your solution too kev. Get a MAC, everything is less stressful on a mac, even u-tube.

Anyone reckon we'll get those northerlies for Pt. Henry sat or Sun? They should be more fun than u-tube even if we do have to wait all day waiting for them to come in!

As far as I can see wax head you have 2 options:
1. get a mac
2. I can print the video frame by frame and you can use your computer as a paper weight to stop the sea breeze blowing all the pages away.
pm me with your credit card details if you need further help

Of all these suggestions virtually none of them will work or will take you a week to learn. The below post should get you outa trouble. Next time u open up youtube do the following.

It may close the window the first few times until the computer recognizes the function and auto recalibrates and rewrites its programming with javascript php functions and server side html code combined with tab scripts and autocad. I assume you are using windows?

Most of these replies have been forwarded onto the Monash Medical Centre to assist with their medical research. These replies have confirmed that too much wind can actually blow brain particles out of your ears resulting in a substantially lower IQ than a turtle.

Catcha and thanks to the guys who actually tried to help me out.

See you torquay rats on the water!

To all the other people that were having this problem, just to let you know that I only had to turn off the firewall for one vid, then I turned it back on again, and the problem is fixed. Absolutely no &^%$# idea what that actually did but it works!

This is because the when you dropped your firewall the virus/trojan that was trying to silently send spam 5 times a second finally got out to complete the TCP connection it needed and created a permanent hole to spam from. Now that you have made the virus/trojan happy it will never bother you (much) again. Well, not until next week anyhow.....

Coil, you tricker, stop trying to lay off on me. Why were you aroused by two fellow kiters sitting in a rockpool together the other night at Danger?? It was a hot night, nothing wrong with two grown men bathing together

Thanks kiter01 for the intelligent response unlike those of Coil and surfer62.

PS I'm still looking for the plat key, unfortunately my computer is about 3 years old and doesn't have one. I'll get in contact with the computer guy and have one installed.
