Yes, wingdinging is awesome when you can do it, and you have all the gear, and the conditions to do it in. It might attract surfers interested in foiling. We'll see about that.
Well, that's pretty much what it's all about...surfing with a foil.
If you've ever tried to surf a wave with a kitefoil, you've probably noticed that there will be always a moment where you had to execute a turn just to keep tensions in your lines. Even with the best drifting kites (Flysurfer Peak included), it just never felt right. At this point in time, Wingding is the only toll that seems to feel the gap.
Livit is onto it. I took up kite foiling to hit the excellent local foiling waves we have. Didn't take long to realise that even on my reos and neos I was always having to adjust for line tension and invariably out run the drift ability of the kite. Wanted to ride the waves like I can prone and sup foil and it wasn't working. So borrowed a cloud ... even then the limitations were obvious. Sure throw a peak in there but you are just minimising an inherent flaw - using the wrong equipement for a specific purpose.
had several sessions on the kite foil with Jason from WAnsurf and and a few others on wind wings...and when in the water, side by side it is very easy to see what you need to be on. Like some here I resisted it because I just can't be buggered learning something new again and would prefer to knock something I knew nothing about
so ... started another annoying journey of learning something new again ... with the accompanying lethal weapon "I'm getting too old for this sh1te". But second real session in and I'm at least on the foil for as long as I want. Just need to gybe now

it's not that hard if you can foil... but god damn annoying at first. Weird ass bloody thing they are. They point like crap compared to a kite foil to.
if you want to foil waves in the wind and/or down wind swell riding, there's no comparison.
For flat water fun on a foil - use a kite.
Simple. best tool for use scenario.
E- foil ... if they get more affordable and battery technology improves (which it is exponentially) then I'd almost sell every toy I own!!! On shore - off shore wind, no wind ... swell/ no swell - it wouldn't matter. Job done.
One piece of equipment, no lines, no bladders, no harness ... oh the dream.
