Yeh I got a kite what a good session it was. Down the beach at 9AM 20 knots already with the first glimpse of swell in what sems like ages. Hit the water on the 8M gusting to 25knots what a session, had to do it early as xmas lunch kiting and beers a plenty don't mix. Only 1 other mate out and then a couple of poley friends came out to share the xmas spirit. Merry Xmas EB. BTW must be 30+ out there now.
yaaay.....I just got my 6m Cult the day before yesterday....and the 25kn out there is just a bonus.....I must have done something really appealing...........being so blessed... Merry Xmas to You, and see you on the waves........
we got wind from santa today not forcast so was definatly because we had been good in whyalla was allmost a dozen kites out. some of the guys must have been extra good sporting new boards but only one new kite spotted.
my ss lunacy turned 1 today. may not make its second b/day- have tried to kill it lots of warr wounds and only 3 fins left but rides great.
No new kite, no new board, not even a new rash vest for xmas. But I have been living in Perth for just over a year now, tried kiting a couple of years ago but really got into it since march. And I must say every day has been like xmas for me. All the guys have made me feel welcome and have been very helpfull down Safety Bay , Penguin Island, Shoalwater. I couldn`t ask for a better place to live. So I`d like to say a very merry christmas and a prosperous new year to you all. And thank you santa, alias (perth doctor) for all the wind over the festive season!
Last Christmas I joined two friends for a kite at 7am Christmas morning. There was a southerly blowing, and we went to Brighton, in Sydney (we were friendless orphans, all of us).
Not long after we got there, three separate groups of people showed up with new kites and family in tow, the boys frothing with the new christmas kiteys. It wasn't really windy - maybe 25kts at times, but it was gusty. And so we watched from the water as three brand new kites got trashed on the beach.
