Point Walter works as does Saftey Bay. Easterlies are rarely clean wind so be prepared for survival kiting.

I saw 7 kites out there this morning. Looked like they were tearing it up.
Sketchy launch zone but no razor rocks.
And there are a lot of trees not too far downwind of the butter zone so Cabrinhas are not recommended.

Kiting is encouraged by the council lately at bibra there is an overcrowding of rare and endangered species of birds that need to be scared off/purged.

Launching wise best way i found is set ur kite in the reeds so it holds then just walk out into the mud till your deep enough and just turn into the wind.

So what your saying is its ok to kite in a habitat of rare and endangered birds. Sounds a bit odd to me. Self launch is no dramas but how bout landing..... Is the lake at a safe depth or is there danger of injuries??

Walking out in mud, endangered birds, tress in the way of self-launching/land - no thanks... sounds a nightmare.

I was thinking the sarcasm was lost over the inter-webs, but then i read it again and realised there is no real way it could have been taken any other way

yeh higher human communication such as sarcasm is hard to get across. This is why so many people get fired up on this and other forums. Also the old internal work email that is misconstrued.
