Hope you like the new forums - should be faster, cleaner, more reliable, better formatting, and .. .more shiny!

Any confusion/dramas, ask here, and will answer/explain/...

Looks great!
One thing I've noticed and that is in the Gear Reviews sub-forum, the quick filters (brand, kite, board) have disappeared.
Are they gone forever?

Hi Lauire,

It appears there is only the weather forecast for the capitals. The regional areas in NSW arent coming up.
Is this the case

Thanks

Just press CTRL and move your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in, if that doesn't work... []

Just moved a little ... scroll down and they're all down the bottom as big buttons.

Harsh.

They shouldn't be smaller, they should be larger, and easier to read. If they're smaller, something is likely amiss on your browser... Are you using a phone or a laptop/desktop? If a lap/desktop, check your zoom levels .. you might have zoomed out?

I assume you're using the "Map"? Yes, it sucks as it only selects the capitals, and will be expanded. Meanwhile use the Weather menu to select your region, and you're good to go.

Let me know if I've missed what you're asking here and this doesn't solve it.

I like the white space. Site looks a bit more modern, and less 'busy".

My internet was a little slow to get moving this morning, but I discovered something I have not seen waiting for this page to load up. The green arrow tapping it's foot and then looking at it's watch. That was really clever! And a fun little diversion while I waited. Life is always in the little details.....Nice one

Great work Laurie. Thanks for all the time and effort (and $$).
Just one suggestion: When green thumbing it seems the bar accepts around 4 or 5 likes before it fills up, so I assume 4 to 5 people?
Could you not make the bar longer or the green paint thinner? Why not just a counter instead, like on FB?
It would be good to know if I'll ever break my record of 1 like! (dreaming)

On the old forum, you did get 2 likes once. But then I found that add-in that allowed for me to still red people.

Had to be done

At this risk of sounding like Cauncy, I can actually fix that for you ... move to WA! Green all week, every day...

Upgrade just put through.

1) Nobody mentioned that the "Compact/Detailed" setting was lost everytime you returned to the site?! Must have been annoying if you had to press "Detailed" every time...

2) Layout for desktop/mobile upgrade to a what (hopefully) is a better design?

3) Posting .. the "Add Photo" links to under the "Post" button, as they are used much less - makes it better for mobiles - less scrolling to hit the "post" button

4) Shrunk the New Post entry box on mobile, again, to save on scrolling

5) Added the "New" indicator to show posts that are new since your last visit.

6) .. and some other nifty stuff.

Thanks to all for the feedback so far, I do believe we're getting there...

Hi Laurie. It seems the Search feature is still based on the old website. Go to sea breeze main page, click search and type north vegas for example. Nothing appears because for some reason the filter is set to windsurfing. So I click on kites, brand North and search again. Same thing happens. It thinks I only want to buy windsurfing gear (maybe that's a sign).
also could you allow in the filter to select more than one state at a time? It's a pain having to search for gear on the eastern states vs WA. Postage is too costly in some cases which is why I avoid WA
