Hello all,

I was unfortunate enough to get a tiny bit of water in my leading edge.
Can anyone tell me how to get this out???
Will it f>>K the kite?
Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

depends how much but if its a lot pump your kite up tilt it up so that the valve is at the bottom so any water in it will head toward the valve and release it and the water will blast out

I don't mean to take the piss out of you, if you'll pardon the pun, but the process that Hookworm describes is called "peeing". All older kiters know about this kind of thing, it seems to happen more with age, and should you encounter any difficulty in doing so you should consult your GP ASAP.

Tip for newbies:

Always keep your back to the wind when expelling water from your bladder.

hey hookworm,

There is only a tiny bit of water in there. I tried doing that but there still seems to be a little water in there.

Any other tips?

Seriously James,

it isn't worth worrying about. It's just condensate and you'll almost always have a little bit of it there, especially when you live and kite in a humid environment like QLD can be. If you should get a lot, say a cup full, then it might be advisable to expel it... otherwise don't waste your time with it, it wont effect the flight characteristics or safety of the kite.

Just to back up Azza... every time you pump it up and deflate it, a little more will evaporate. So don't worry about it, it'll take care of itself.
