they pop up on ebay quite often, the big brands go for like $250 (liquidforce etc) but the cheaper ones are normally around then $100 mark.

also remember that the average wakeskate is like 100 to 105 cms long (by 39-42 wide) so you need to rig a bigger kite than normal.

they are super fun once you get the hang of it.

<-- that avatar pic is actually of the stencil on the bottom of my LF impact41 skate *edit*

I got one brand new a few years back for $150. You can kite with them, pretty challenging but. I'd sell you mine pretty cheap but I recon shipping to WA would
be a bit expensive, go have a look at a ski shop, should be cheap as.

cheers
Paul

hey cabstar, yes I got off my ass and pumped me 20m up on Sunday, got my exercise for the year, it was crap wind.

As mentioned above you caan get them at pretty much every wakeboard shop or online. however you are going to want to buy one that is more suited to kiting and less for boat if you want it to be able to move at all. There are a few helpfull threads about this on kitescoop, but the main jist of it is, less rocker, no 3 stage, and anything 117 and above is ideal.

Yeap. Rhys has done the same thing in the past and made his own wakeskates.
Very successful so I recommend you at least try it

As Rowdy said, you can customize it to your needs! [}:)]

Hey dan. After hittin the slider at kitejam and wakeskatin for 2 years now I'm ready for a pro model with more adv kicker. I've got one you can have when I get my other one. Its cut down from a big 145 carbon with two surfboard kickpads(needs repairing). Nailed a lot of tricks with it already but ready to advance on. Let me know at applecross(WA Surf Chris).
