Were you raped by a LR dealer, or just a jilted lover.....???
Paul1, sorry to let you down but your wrong on both counts, I fix these (and lots of other makes) for the dealers, the trade and retail customers aswell.
At the end of the day the prices don't bother me (such as $1300 for an ignition key and $800 for front pads and rotors etc etc etc) as these costs are passed on to the owners of the vehicles. I will always try to obtain cheaper aftermarket parts (so long as quality does not suffer) but it's not always possible for one reason or another.
Just trying to let people know that if you are thinking of purchasing this type of vehicle that
nothing on these vehicles are cheap or simple and straight forward to repair.
You can't even tow a trailer with LED lights (no problem with globes) with these vehicles, for reasons I won't go into here, without the addition of specialist electrical equipment to allow correct operation of the LED trailer lights.
Do you own one?
