Got out for my first proper good session on the weekend
and was just wondering if anyone knows of any good online video tutorials for like boosting, and basic tricks that would be good to watch before i next go out?

If you want video try searching FAT SANDS PROGRESSION. It's not online but I have their beginner DVD. I've gone back to it from time to time over my first year of kiting.

www.iksurfmag.com has some really good articles on technique for all sorts of stuff. I've found their stuff really helpful. You don't even have to look through each issue now. You simply click on 'technique' then browse by level 'beginner' and there's some good stuff.

I've found it's good to read up, try it out and if you don't get it go back and read up again. iksurfmag has helped me with slide turns, beach starts, underturns, riding toeside and jumping.

I've accidentally jumped and landed when trying to change directions and I've jumped without landing but today I'm proud to say I landed my first intentional jump. It felt so good and I was probably only a metre off the water.....

other vids include kiteboarding 101 kiteboarding 201 etc and The complete kite boarding Guide. (Some parts especially in THe complete kiteboarding guide are quite dated but still good IMO) The fatsands one already mentioned is better than these those i reckon.
There is also some short tutorial clips of the BEST Kiteboarding website amongst others and some short one on good old you tube. Also are online mags with video clips including instructional ones. eg iksurfmag at iksurfmag.com

Yeah I totally agree and should have mentioned AKS straight up.

If you were unfortunate like me and had a mate teach you cos he didn't think lessons are necessary, absolutely read up on and practice the self rescue techniques and winding lines in the water.
