Would like to hear from anyone, particularly Rev owners who have encountered a large amount of difference in line stretch. I am used to adjusting up my lines and compensating 1 or 2 cms occasionally to get lines even, but today I checked my lines on my new Rev to find approx. 12 cms difference in my centre lines. I checked the lines when I got it out the bag and have kited on it about 6 to 8 times now. I was very surprised to find such a difference but it was feeling quite strange at the bar, hence why I checked. Also made it very difficult to adjust, I had to go to one of my old kites and salvage some pigtails to use as extensions as the other thing with the Rev lines is there really is no point of adjustment. Anyway, would be keen to hear from those who have experienced similar problems.

Cheers,

fozzy> your 2 ctr. lines are prob. from 2 diff. batches. Lines are prob. made in China and the guy making the lines only gets a couple of bucks an hour, so quality control is lacking.

Had the same thing happen to me. Go to your dealer and get 2 new ones and hopefully they are from the same batch and will thus stretch the same.

Thanks for your input guys, would be lost without such constructive remarks. I'm well aware lines stretch just haven't encountered it to this extent before.

Doesn't include you Gruezi, cheers for the input.

Fozzy .... always sucks when you pay good money for something and it ant even last one season b4 giving you probs. All I can suggest is sort it out with extentions like you have and start hammeing your supplier for a replacement.

Fozzy, I too know the frustration of having to compensate for that extra 12cm. People just don't know how hard it is to fit something 12cm too long into an apparatus that just isn't designed for it. Don't listen to these children, they have only ever had to deal with being 1 or 2 centimetres too short, they don't know the half of it (or the sixth or twelfth of it for that matter).

What a shame... Thanks for the feedback as I loved the rev when demoed. Slingshot seem to make bomb proof kites, but the rest of the kit..... bar lines, safety leash seem to be less than perfect. I still want a 7m but might buy kite only
