Good work on heading to Cocos, are you going on a Zephyr tour? Last year they offered a travel insurance option, however I'm not sure if they are still doing this. I went with Medibank private, as they gave me cheap travel insurance since I already had health cover with them. No dramas with any sport.

Have gone with this mob a few times and found to be cheap, but never had to claim, so haven't tested there service.

Keep in mind most travel insurance can pay for a lot of other things you can benifet from like hire car excess, so you never have to pay those extra fees again to reduce the excess excess they charge if you have an accident

OnePath (ANZ) travel insurance covers you for medical costs for any injury you may incur and also 3rd party liability
Little more costly than others but money well spent
In their PDS they explicitly mention windsurfers are covered and I have a email from QBE their underwriters that kitesurfers are also covered

I've always used TID. Assumed my AKSA membership has me covered for third party on Cocos.

So kiting unstrapped is "too extreme"?
