Thrusters v quad fins

I've been kiting on a thruster for last few weeks.today rode my quad so much better seem to hold edge power up wind better! Is it just me,any one else noticed this!

Yeah I've noticed the quads are faster in a straight line but the turns tend to be a bit bigger and feel more locked in then a trusted setup.

It depends on board design. My Celeritas thruster does drawn out long carves. Really hard to snap around. My spacepickel quad turns on a dime, and can carve big. My homemade quads turn faster than spacepickel. So agile you have to be careful or board will toss you off.
So I don't see that correlation.

Agree - Quads are better for the long tack upwind as hold speed and set a nice high line upwind but i personally prefer a thruster once surfing the wave. I wish i was less lazy and switched them around more as needed....
