Does anyone have the dates for the MERIMBULA CLASSIC for this year. We are trying to organise some of the Core international team riders to attend and need to start to plan now.

I would be grateful for any help.

Any idea of who the major sponsors are this year?

Core Watersports will be contributing gear to be used as prizes for the amateur division.

Hey guys , yeh from my own observation , Merimbula contest has been severely lacking in international superstars since Reuben was here 12 or so years ago . It really is an extra drawcard and hype them appearing . We do have our homegrown international world champs that are loyal to the Merimbula grassroots wind event still turn up . Which they have won early in their career . What surprises me at Merimbula contest is our homegrown superstars on the international scene compete here and win the events and win the biggest prizes given out , rather than let an up and comer or new kid on the block win, as these homegrown stars did when their careers were taking off at Merimbula .The chance of an new 18 yr old beating a superstar here is slim and easy pickings for an established star !!!!

There is never really any major sponsor as such, it's not really what the event is about and I hope that never changes.

The organisers are the best crew and it is by far the best run event in the country.

Love love this event The main Sponsor has been local surf shop 'Ragging Bull Shop 'for the last two events So hopefully they will be there again as main Sponsor Great shop and owner 'Thank you '

It's Australia's biggest comp. It will be great to see some heavy hitters again!

he still has no chance against the local hero !!!!!

Would be sick to get Willow River over such Talent and nice guy You should help Robert Kidnie get Over from WA Nice guy and wave talent as well and support your gear 110 percent

For sure, We are working on getting Willow, Steven and Rob. Perhaps we take out 1st, 2nd and 3rd!
