sickies were really just a cover up at work because every man in life knows the urge and need to take part in some sporting event during working hours.. its basically a i want to go kite pass not a im sick pass. only softies use it for real sickies

I think I'll have to take the early shift to match our Brisbane office hours on Monday, for some strange reason. Not seeing any clients so should be able to get away with it.

At least one every 3 mounth. Has to be a NE 20 knots + or a SE 20+ and the BOM and seabreeze have to agree Them the rules

When I was at uni I had the priveledge of skipping lectures and listening to them online afterwards...now that i'm back at work, because i'm a casual, I usually plan my work shifts around the week's wind-forecast. if the winds good: a sickie a week puts you in good stead...sweet as

Never

Now look, there is wind forecast for 12 hours of daylight on Monday...surely you can get 2-4 hours in to kite and not be sick.

In the words of our hero, "harden da funk up."

Ride the NW S, have a break and then take SW back up N, get to work early.

Monday: NW winds 13/18 knots increasing to NW 20/25 knots in the afternoon and
shifting SW 20/25 knots late evening. Seas 1.5m rising to 2.0m. Swell to 1.5m.

But the forecast will surely change.

I am working tonight but have the next 4 days off, Mondays forecast was looking great a couple of days ago but everytime i check there is less & less green arrows hope they don't dissapear altogether, I need a wind fix.
Thursday now looks good though and maybe I might even paddle out on the surfboard on Wednesday.
For those of you that have to work though it certainly makes it hard to plan when to get sick when the forecast keeps changing. Oh well thats the way it goes now that the season is fading away, you just have to get out when you can, everyone knows there is more colds and flu's around in winter.
