Just passed through Sydney international transit.

Thought I'd landed somewhere in the Mediterranean.

Nobody seemed to have English as a first language.

Was greeted at security by one delightful lady who was shouting across the room to a colleague: "this place is like s**t!"

Nobody smiled. Nobody said hello.

Nothing worked.

Everywhere looked like it was still under construction.

Nothing was clean.

Well except for the duty free shops, but the only store that had helpful, polite and engaging staff was the computer nerd shop.

Still not as bad as Brisbane though -- at least nobody offered to call the police for me.

My most hated is the Gold Coast Airport, which is about the same size as it was in the 80s. Luckily the population hasn't increased. Great location though

If small inconveniences at an airport rattle your boat enough to place a post on a kitesurfing forum maybe you should rethink your own bitch attitude.

Maybe you could contact the management of the airport and tell em how many staff don't have English as their primary language and how their accents disturbed you. Waa waa waa

True that, but most make the effort so that two hours doesn't feel like two weeks.

Y'know, facilities that don't have crap on the floor, don't shout profanities in your presence (oh won't someone think of the children), and services like vending machines and WiFi that actually work.

Maybe Sandfoot *is* the guy travelers should be complaining too, sounds like he runs the place... "Tourists? ****ing euro trash, **** em. Leave the **** on the floor, they **** in our sand dunes."

If you think Sydney Airport sux you obviously haven't been to LAX. Sydney is bliss in comparison.

Coolest airport I've every been to is Namatanai Airport PNG. I was the only one there till the plane turned up On the other side of the terminal (see picture) is an old dirt strip with a huge WW2 plane prop mounted, can't remember what plane. Was sitting there next to strip like waiting for a bus.
