Hey everybody , my 2015 Cabrinha Tronic 139 cm kite board , green and black in colour ,black foot bindings and a clear handle was stolen off Melros beach today near Mandurah . 08/10/15 . I left it with my selfl landing. tether wrapt through the foot bindings . i was out for maybe 90 mins and when I returned the board was gone. It has my name ,Jeff and my mob phone number cable tied to the handle. Not trying to recruit a police force here, but its not a common board so if one pops up somewhere for sale I would be ever so grateful for a PM as I cant believe it was stolen by a kite boarder, many thanks . Jeff .

Hello Officer/Constable, I left my board on the beach for 90 minutes and despite reports regular thefts of kite gear from cars in WA I was surprised to see that when I came back to find it was gone! Could you circulate this photo and send out all units immediately to seek out the board as I know you have nothing else better to do.

Or he could give them a picture and they may come across it while searching a house with a number of stolen goods....

By all means let the police know they usually collect warehouses full of unclaimed stolen goods that then get auctioned off. but expect a lecture as leaving a board on a beach is just encouraging opportunistic theft. A bit like leaving your wallet on the seat of an unlocked car.

Hey Juicerider great stuff mate ,so very grateful, It turns out this board belongs to some one who left it on the beach with a bar and lines and was very relieved to find it at the local Police Stn,
However appreciative of the effort by you mate, had me going for a bit , I am also happy to see this topic has had 1000 + visits making it more difficult to move the board on , tremendous value to our Kiteing community. Jeff

The board at Exmouth police was also a 140 something tonic so definately not yours jgfoster. Whoever it belonged to might want to take the knot out of his lines too.

I think you will get it back.

I had some 15 year old kid find my board at the bombing range, only to "give it to a mate" who then went to sell it on the gum-tree.

I called up - Said can I come around and check it out?

Got his address, then picked it up that night.

Strange things can happen. Several years ago I dobbed in a Perth guy to the cops who had sold some stunt kites through the Trading Post. I knew that they were stolen (and reported) as they had my signature on them! When the cops went to visit him he showed them the Invoice where HE had actually bought the kites from. The Police Auction!!!!!

I've left a fair few boards at the beach over the years, never saw any of them again despite putting up flyers and reporting to police... Only thing I got back was a bar I realised I left rolled out about a week later, luckily it was still totally covered with sand in the exact spot I left it hahaha. Hope you have better luck.

p.s.
How can you auction off "Foreign Currency" ???? That is pretty weird.

A carton.

I didn't know he was 15. So his dad drank it I guess.
