Hi, just checking if anyone went to South Africa flying from Perth using SAA. Did u have to pay extra or can I take my kite gear as part of their sporting allowance as they do within Africa?

Last time I flew to Cape Town about 3 years ago, the ticket allowed two bags of 23kgs each even for cattle class So I just worked around that, as far as I know a sports persons allowance is a thing of the past. They may have changed as SAA is close to going bankrupt
