I've only just become aware of a wear issue with the Rallys, & suggest you all check your own kites. A reference was made in a review thread of the 2012 Rallys being beefed up around the rear lines. The rear pigtail knots, moving back & forth against the leading edge as the kite changes trim, wears a hole through the leading edge exposing the bladder. It's a simple fix to apply some sort of fabric reinforced stickyback to the spot.
cheers

also check you chicken loop ive had the metal loops that hod them in place snap on one side rightr wear the metal kinks on the quick release thingi on both of my bars, it could make a mess of you if it snapped and 1/8' rod cut into your skin.

Hell Yeah! Mine's got a broken bit each side & ready to come away completely. I was gunna be taking a swim any day now. Did you get a replacement under warranty?
And the holesin the leading edge are about 1/8" diameter. I was lucky my bladder didn't pop. I think I'll tape around the knot too so there's a smoother surface.
I don't know why, but I haven't been paying any attention to maintanence on my Rally, just using it.

This is such old news. Im sure it came up on a thread months ago. All you needed to do was make sure your pig tails were round the right way so the loop dosent rub on the leading edge.

my local shps trying for warranty been to slow would have been beter of just ordering new one i dont think they cost mutch melocal shop owner give me one of his to use in the interim. when i get the new ones ,unfortuneately i fear they will do exactly the same thing, i have mod ified\customized a 09 bar got rid of depower straps ,glued red quickrelease ball thingi so it cant fire accidently and removed all the osh bits, end result is a mutch lighter bar, rallys depower off a sheeted out bar is fine to ride suicide ,dont use a donkey dick and if needed can release kite off safety leash, ino this isnt the most safe practice but if conditions are right ie steady winds, uncrowded beaches ect i dont have a problem

I ended up simplifing my '09 bar too. The new Rally chicken loops are $23 so they're not going to break the bank if you don't end up with warranty. Just for the exercise I made my own up, the only drawback being there's no safety release. But if you don't use the donkey dick I don't know how much value that adds anyway. I just used 4 runs of old 'p' line inside a piece of 10mm nylon pressure tube.
BTW 1st pic shows a broken chicken loop, sorry about quality.
