Interesting the lack of comments. Guess no one wants to hear about sharks at our local spots!

The bay is full of sharks at the moment. Fishermen are getting their catches bitten off before they can bring them in.

Trouble is, it doesn't seem to be confined to any particular area.
This season it's everywhere.
My local surf beach has had one surfer attack, and my local kite spot has a tracked great white for the last 3 years.
What do you do? - You do want you want and let fate (within reason) sort the rest out.

I think it's purely unlucky to be done by a shark kiting even bodydraging through the merky water here on the Gold Coast the broadwater is constantly full of sharks even seeing people swim n wakeboard up the coomera river and never see a attack in the afternoon when the wind is crank'n I think in the middle of the day the sharks are doing something else

Sad news for the dog owner but I am not surprised. There have always been sharks in Botany Bay but now that the council has taken one of our kite launching beaches without consultation and handed it over to dog owners there have been many more dogs in the water and, who would have thought it, dogs in the water attract sharks! Thanks Sutherland Shire Council, not only have you pissed off kiters by taking one of our few launching beaches at Kurnell you have also attracted sharks to one of the best kiting beaches in Sydney.
