Is there a seat harness out there that is more like a waist harness but with leg straps? I have the dakine Fusion and its good but its a real poo catcher...

The North one looks kinda close.

After anything with more freedom and range of movement - just cant get a wiast harness to work properly withi my contorted body shape

Look at the LF website at their board short harness. West Oz kiteboarding have them, they look really good. I was thinking of getting one, but wasn't sure how they would go for heavy weights like me. I will just stick with the mystic warrior for now.

I used the fusion for two seasons and tried 2 other waist harnesses (which i thought were s*&t) but finally was convinced to buy a north styler - the sales pitch being that if wasn't completely happy with it, i could take it back and the salesman would eat it it... anyway, it's the shiznit - never rides up, super comfy and doesn't aggravate my dodgy back. Don't know how that will suit your "contorted body shape" though - just my 2 cents...

Your answer is the Dakine Nitrous - fantastic comfort and more flexibility than any other seat, but still gives you the advantage of being pulled from the hips.
Get the spreader pad to go with it, and maybe some 2mm neoprene shorts to wear underneath for those 4hr sessions.
