... I got one on the top of my big toe back when I pole boarded because water was too cold and I couldn't feel it rub raw from a tight foot strap. Sea ulcer developed with it turning into a deep hole, deep enough I could fit the end of a pen or pencil in it and it would stand up by its self. Yuk!

The stupid things people do hey!!

Might have healed up faster if you weren't shoving writing implements in it.

Spray on band aid is the go. Put it on any damage to your legs and it stops ulcers developing.
And will help your ulcer repair too. If it's really bad you'll have to spend some time out of the Ocean to give it a chance

If you can get it, keflex will do the trick. Break open the capsule and sprinkle the powder directly onto the ulcer and will clean up very quickly.

Disclaimer - not a doctor, but has worked great for me during travels to remote destinations.

The reason sea ulcers get deeper / worse is every time you go back into the water the newly sealed scab gets washed away,, then another forms, then it gets washed away again the next day and so on... eventually you get an annoying crater from hell....

I've suffered from these for ever & the only fix i use is Fixamol, its a sticky tape gause, kind of like a bandaid but lets the wound breath therefore creating a scab, but does not get washed away.

You have to shave all hair away from the wound then apply the Fixamol rounding the corners so they don't doggy ear and come off easy
best results if you put it on the night before,,,, let it bond and stick

if it comes off put it on again,,, I've had this stuff on for weeks aye,,,, it gets pretty dirty but it heals the wound

Wounds can only heal when there is a scab ,,,, the fixamol is the fake scab, and doesn't get washed away ....
