Hi all just wondering if anyone has kited this area? I am going there in April mainly for surfing and not sure whether to take my kite gear.

Surfed it a few times on a boat trip in the area, I can't remember having suitable winds to kite in but back then I didn't kite so wasn't looking too hard. Pretty sure the massive headland blocks the tradewinds a fair bit too, but again I could be wrong.

I would have thought April is too early in the season. Want around August for wind.

Agree with bene April is a bit early to get strong enough to kite that area.
August/September would be a better prospect time

ta guys I was thinking the same. less luggage.

This was in September, wasn't a kite trip but wished I had my kites. Apparently previous years there was no wind.
